Celebrating Faith and Legacy: The Toronto Telugu Christian Fellowship GTA (TCFG)

Established in 1999 through the visionary leadership of Late Dhorai Swamy, David Chirugapati, and Late Injeti Prabhakar Rao, the Toronto Telugu Christian Fellowship (TCFG) serves as a spiritual haven for Telugu-speaking Christians in the Greater Toronto Area. Rooted in a rich legacy of faith and service, the fellowship has become a cornerstone of worship, cultural celebration, and community connection.

TCFG’s foundations are deeply intertwined with the three-generation legacy of Late Rev. Pastor Samuel and Suwarna Pulavarthi, whose ministry spanned five decades under The Convention of Baptist Churches of Northern Circars (CBCNC), affiliated with the Canadian Baptist Mission. This heritage of impactful ministry and spiritual leadership continues to guide TCFG’s mission, serving as a beacon of faith and hope.

Today, TCFG flourishes under the dedicated leadership of its active committee members: Syam Koduri, Paul Kancherla, Sudha Engilela, Ratna Kumar, Pradeep Madugula, Lincoln Lazarus, and Ashok Kammula (Treasurer). Their tireless efforts ensure that the fellowship remains a dynamic, welcoming, and faith-driven community where members can worship, grow, and celebrate their cultural roots.

Through regular worship services, Bible studies, and community outreach initiatives, TCFG not only honors the vision of its founders but also evolves to meet the spiritual and social needs of its members. This balance of tradition and progress makes TCFG a unique and enduring spiritual family.

As we reflect on over two decades of faith-filled fellowship and leadership, we invite you to join us in this remarkable journey. Whether through worship, service, or community engagement, let us honor our heritage, embrace the present, and build a future grounded in faith and love.
